Other than service, what is the most important thing you offer your clients?
Industry-leading service was the driving force behind the formation of Day 2, but so much more is required in 2016. As professional teams (architects, designers, project managers, main contractors etc) face ever-increasing demands on an ever-diminishing resource (thanks to the market pressure on fees), we have found a gap for a holistic project resource. We aim to offer expert advise to every project stakeholder, from creative specification consultancy and value analysis through to meticulous project planning and implementation.
I was once told by a good client that we don’t sell, we help our clients to make the right purchases. It’s something that at the time made me feel very proud – and still does today. I believe this sums us up perfectly. Plus, with the growing choices in the market and an increased emphasis on workplace performance, I am convinced this is something
a client will value even more today than at any other time.
That’s a difficult question because what else is more important than service? However, we would consider that we offer an independent take on the most suitable products for each project or environment. This in turn offers transparent advice from which the client will feel comfortable in their decision, and ultimately, that they are getting value for money in the final furniture solution.
Our clients want their partners to be workplace experts. We offer them a consultative approach, ensuring that their office design is appropriate for their business needs and industry sector. Our highly experienced and respected team focus on delivering perfection on furniture and fit-out projects. We specialise in supporting our clients with these solutions throughout Europe and we are currently undertaking projects in Zurich, Madrid, Paris and Berlin.
Our main aim is to bring workspaces to life and, although this may come across as a cliché, we’re all about the people. And our people have the knowledge, experience, maturity, creativity and sheer talent it takes to truly make a difference. Sketch, as part of Fourfront Group, has recently made the ‘Sunday Times Best 100 Small Companies to Work for’ shortlist and we wouldn’t be able to do that without genuinely caring about our colleagues and our clients. Without hopefully sounding cheesy, we’re a (sort of) family. Occasionally we might argue but we stick together!
Whilst exemplary service is vital to Dovetail, in many ways that is the everyday expectation of a dealer. It is important to me, and my colleagues at Dovetail that we are also the furniture experts, with the best knowledge of product out there, so we can offer advice and opinion to clients. It is our job to be on the cutting edge of new products, developments and trends too.
