Orgatec 2020 cancelled

Organisers Koelnmesse respond to the current crisis and exhibitor withdrawals by cancelling the 2020 edition of the trade fair.

08/07/2020 1 min read

In spite of extensive preparations for the trade fair the organisers of Orgatec have announced the cancellation of the 2020 edition of the office, due to a large majority of exhibitors and trade visitors deciding against attending the fair.

‘Although outstanding registration levels for the autumn events had already been achieved by spring 2020, and in spite of extensive preparations for the trade fair and the #B-SAFE4business package of measures for coronavirus-compliant implementation of our trade fairs, the situation of this trade fair increasingly began to reflect current developments around Covid-19 and the economic situation,’ said organisers Koelnmesse.

‘Together with all of the trade fair participants in the sector, Koelnmesse is joining the industry in search of solutions to present the topics of ORGATEC at an international level in the coming months.’

The next regularly scheduled ORGATEC will then be held from 25 to 29 October 2022 in Cologne.
