March 2020: Issue 202

In this issue

Issue 202 features our annual product designer focus, as well as a look around The Brewery Building in King's Cross and Locke Living's latest offering, Locke at Broken Wharf. This month's Mix Roundtable focuses on the rise of experience-led design, and David Thame looks at the phenomena that is 'new hospitality.' Each one of our covers is unique – including our logo. We hand over the reins to a different designer each month, making our print magazines a work of art in themselves.

The logo

Mindfulness: The act of design can be a mindful practice by turning our attention to the minute details and sensations. After a whirlwind start to 2020, we took the opportunity to slow things down, exploring more manual methods of creating. Utilising watercolour paints, we got lost in the moment for a little while creating something away from the computer screen.

The cover

Elinor is an executive chair designed by Claudio Bellini for Pedrali, the Italian producer of contemporary furniture for contract and residential. A multi-tasking product that reflects the needs of a changing market, characterised by a high level of aesthetic quality, this executive chair is extremely comfortable thanks to the polyurethane injected foam seat and back and the weight-activated synchro-tilt mechanism integrated in the upholstered seat.
