This month we reveal the much-anticipated Mixology Awards Project Finalists 2021! Congratulations to our fantastic 2021 line up - see you on 16 September at Evolution London for the grand reveal. Issue 214 looks at the topic of sustainability and the important role designers and manufacturers can play in making the commercial interiors industry a more sustainable one. Each one of our covers is unique – including our logo. We hand over the reins to a different designer each month, making our print magazines a work of art in themselves. This month features Johnson Tiles' new collection, Luxx - overlaid with a molten gold logo from Squire and Partners inspired by the Japanese philosophy Wabi-Sabi.
Squire & Partners: ‘Totems of gold are extruded from the turtle shell-effect porcelain tile. Like glistening jewels rising from the stone bed, the hallmark attests to their purity. Inspired by the Japanese philosophy Wabi-Sabi, which focuses on appreciation of ‘imperfection’, we celebrate these flowing seams of gold within the static stone.’
