In this issue

Our last issue of 2021, Mix #217 features the Mixology North21 finalists, as well as a look around the latest projects from Gensler, Jestico + Whiles, Peldon Rose and TSK Group. The first of this month’s two Mix Roundtables asks how flexibility can be built into the workplace so that it can continue to evolve with as little disruption and waste as possible over the long-term, and David Thame looks ahead to the opportunities 2022 will bring to the UK property market. Elsewhere, our second roundtable discussion looks at collective displacement and what it means for spatial experience post-pandemic, plus our usual insight and news from the industry. Each one of our covers is unique – including our logo. We hand over the reins to a different designer and manufacturer, making our print magazines a work of art in themselves. The logo

This month’s cover logo is designed by Woods Bagot Principal and Regional Design Leader, Julian Cross. Inspired by the industrial feel of the blackened steel balustrade against the dark texture of the carpet, the vivid colour of the MIX logo is generated by the perspective of the staircase and the sharp balustrade edge. The neon pink graphics draw inspiration from the edgy graphics of the ‘1980s London club, Flyer’.
