Building on the success of the Virtual Interiors Event in February – which attracted almost 4,000 attendees from 83 countries – a second VI:INSIGHTS is due to take place 6-10 December 2021.
This series of online events continues to attract some of the industry’s highly regarded experts, providing thought provoking content. Following the first VI:INSIGHTS in September, which attracted over 800 industry professionals, the festival in December consists of daily sessions such as CPDs, research discussions and white paper presentations from a diverse array of industry leaders such as Nicola Osborn (Creative Director, Basha Franklin), Marcie Incarico (Owner and Director, Mix Interiors), Lee Penson (CEO, PENSON), Philip Handford (Design Director, Starbucks) and Jim Taylour (Head of Design & Wellbeing, Orangebox).
Firms such as AllSfar, BACHMANN, ROOM, howw. and Cosentino are also hosting sessions at the event on a range of topics such as sustainability, acoustics, materials and technology.
Perkins&Will Sustainability Director Asif Din praised the event, saying ‘It was important to be part of the VI event as it allowed access to a larger interior audience beyond the traditional ecologically conscious circles. Only in this way are we able to move this dialogue forwards and create a coherent voice from the supply chain to create a roadmap to tackle the environmental impacts of the industry.’
‘September’s VI:Insights was attended by a wide range of professionals from the built environment sector,’ says Virtual Interiors Event Founder Beth Harrison. ‘It’s exciting to see our audience expand beyond architects and designers to specifiers, facilities managers and occupiers. The fact our event was attended by leading firms such as Arcadis, Arup, Basha Franklin, BDP, CBRE, GSK, Mace, Overbury and the Royal Bank of Canada solidifies our place as the leading digital partner in our industry.’
