Turn down the noise with the Acoustic flooring collection developed by British flooring manufacturer Amtico.
Paid feature by Amtico Flooring
The Acoustic flooring collection developed by Amtico boasts state-of-the-art sound reduction technology – specified as an optional extra on products across the premium Signature, tactile Form and popular Spacia Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) collections.
Amtico Acoustic helps reduce noise pollution and sound transmission between floors by up to 19dB – and provides an extra level of underfoot comfort – by using an integrated 1mm closed-cell PVC foam backing layer. It is made to order, and applied to the LVT planks and tiles at Amtico’s factory in Coventry.
There’s also no need for designers and specifiers to compromise design for performance, thanks to an array of Wood, Stone and Abstract palettes, plus two Parquet sizes, that work in harmony with the state-of-the-art sound reduction technology.
Amtico Acoustic absorbs sound in style and is perfect for a variety of multi-floored commercial applications including education, to minimise the transfer of sound from corridors to classrooms on lower floors, and healthcare, to utilise the principles of healing architecture. In addition, it can also be used to promote positive wellbeing and boost productivity in offices, and in purpose-built rental and student accommodation, help to meet specific noise-pollution requirements of Building Regulations.
‘Acoustics can have a significant impact on the users of a space, from simply ensuring effective and audible communication, through to longer term effects on health, wellbeing and productivity,’ said Louisa Eyles, Commercial Marketing Manager at Amtico. ‘Even the most creative visions need to be backed up by technical excellence. Amtico Acoustic not only provides exceptional impact sound reduction of up to 19dB, it also offers an extra level of underfoot comfort, so everyone can benefit from a better experience.’
Amtico Acoustic is also suitable for absorbing impact sound in high-traffic areas and can be applied to planks and tiles across the Signature, Form and Spacia collections while still obtaining the 20-year, 12-year, and 10-year commercial warranty, respectively.
