crafting plastics! studio was founded in 2016 by product designer Vlasta Kubušová and production designer Miroslav Král.

“Realising dynamic research and innovation in materials and design, we provide a base for interdisciplinary progress towards enjoyable sustainability and more transparent production. We explore new ways of developing products, from basic craft approach to high-tech machinery. Our pursuit is to be in full control of the lifespan of the product, from its origin – in the form of unrefined material – through the final product until its inevitable decay.”

By connecting institutional research with commercial design, the team developed a unique biobased material that will accelerate the transition to the circular economy and move us closer to a sustainable future.

This innovation bioplastic is bio-based, biodegradable, durable and heat stable.
