New Flotex Planks from Forbo: Smart, innovative and modular
Forbo Flooring Systems has refreshed its Flotex Planks range with a comprehensive collection of designs inspired by two distinct themes: Surfaces and Textures.
Forbo Flooring SystemsScotland, Lancashire, Telford, London
The new range consists of 96 colour-ways across 11 designs (six of which are completely new) split across the two design families Surfaces and Textures.
Surfaces is inspired by natural materials, and includes designs such as Wood, Concrete and Seagrass, as well as Marble, Ombré and Montage, which are new for 2021. The Textures collection is influenced by graphic, geometric and textile patterns and comprises the all-new Converge, Frameweave and Refract, as well as the established favourites, Triad and Box-Cross.
In addition to the collection’s new designs, the Flotex Planks range also has a variety of attributes that are hard to beat:
With over 70 million fibres per square metre, Flotex offers the warmth, comfort and acoustic properties of a textile floor covering combined with durability and cleanability. It has zero phthalates and is the only textile floor covering to hold the prestigious Allergy UK Seal of Approval™.
Flotex Planks provides both low in-room impact noise performance, as well as good impact sound reduction (19 dB) – helping to create quieter, comfortable and healthier environments.
Although the designs in the Surfaces and Textures collections are different, the colours are tonally similar – allowing colours to be used on their own, mixed and matched with colours from within the same range or to be combined with different designs to create individual floors.
The plank format also provides advanced design capabilities, which offer a more contemporary aesthetic compared to traditional square tiles and allows laying patterns, such as herringbone and weave patterns, to be fashioned with ease.
Forbo understands that a holistic approach to commercial design is key. That’s why it has developed a comprehensive portfolio of textile and resilient modular floor coverings, which can be easily combined to create a seamless, integrated flooring scheme. In fact, as we continue to see office design moving towards the creation of zones and connecting multiple areas within one space, Flotex Planks can be easily installed alongside Tessera carpet tiles or Forbo’s popular Allura Flex and Allura Ease luxury vinyl tile ranges, without the need for transition strips.
Smart, innovative and modular – Flotex Planks are a great solution for creating smart places in today’s office environments. For more information about Forbo’s new range please visit www.forbo-flooring.co.uk/flotexplanks
