The new, innovative Barony Campus consolidates five schools into one shared community campus, creating a centre for education for the towns of Cumnock, Auchinleck and the surrounding area.
The 2,500-place school includes secondary, primary and nursery schools, a supported learning centre, with places for students with special educational requirements, playing fields and sport facilities. The campus is an all-through school, bringing communities together.
A sense of wellness is apparent, with a sophisticated, natural palette, subtle calming colours and connection to nature. The use of timber forms a neutral backdrop to the learning spaces.
Texture and pattern play a key role within the overall scheme, allowing each part of the campus to develop their own identity and create a timeless design as students mature and transition through the campus.
