Designed for modern travellers to enjoy a stylish city-break, The Mont Hotel in Dublin has recently undergone a €10m renovation. Interior designer consultancy 21Spaces led the project and enlisted commercial furniture specialists Inside Out Contracts to help create a fresh, chic and contemporary feel.
From the guest bedrooms, to the restaurant and bar areas – the key objective was to create a welcoming, cosmopolitan atmosphere throughout the space. To reflect this, the Inside Out Contracts team supplied a varied combination of furniture designs finished to fit the unique style of each area.
Being asked to work on The Mont has been a real testament to the relationship we have built up with the client by being able to understand their requirements and delivery products on time, in budget and to achieve the designer’s concept.
In the Speranza Restaurant, muted colour palettes were injected with splashes of colour and combined with geometric patterns for a warm and vibrant atmosphere. Bespoke fixed floor bar stools, Jazz armchairs upholstered in contrasting Kirkby Geo Noir fabric and simple Robyn armchairs effortlessly complement the space. Meanwhile Scandi inspired 366 rocking chairs and elegant Meadow side chairs create a relaxed atmosphere in the reception area. A more classic, speakeasy-inspired design was achieved in the Sin Bin Bar, with a few special features added – including the aptly named Maria bar stools, upholstered in luxurious leather with brass-studding detail.
Justin Harrison, Sales Director at Inside Out, commented, “The Mont hotel project has been one of our favourites this year. 21Spaces had an amazing concept to make The Mont one of Dublin’s most appealing destinations and we’re proud to have been able to help them achieve this through supplying carefully selected design-led furniture.
This is the 4th O’Callaghan Collection hotel that we have worked on, having previously supplied furniture to The Green and The Davenport in Dublin as well as The Tamburlaine in Cambridge. Being asked to work on The Mont has been a real testament to the relationship we have built up with the client, by being able to understand their requirements and delivering products on time, within budget, and in line with the designer’s concept.”
