DAY Interior Design – The B Hive, Wrexham Glyndwr University

Mixology North22 Project of the Year Finalist: Public Sector & Cultural

Project Team

  • Wrexham Glyndwr University, Spatial Environments, Futureserv, Penketh Group

The B Hive at Wrexham Glyndwr University was a small yet significant part of the refurbishment of Wrexham University’s B Corridor, delivered by DAY Interior Design earlier this year.

DAY wanted to increase the desire for staff and students to work in a hub that is easy to locate on the campus and drop in to. With muted pops of orange and yellows in the colour palette to reflect the university’s feature grade listed tile walls in their main reception space, and feature carpets that aid with acoustics, DAY has implemented an energy and buzz into the workspace, and a more mature feel.

The B Hive has been designed with both staff and students in mind to encourage interaction, collaborative working and new campus wide culture. DAY are working with the university on a campus-wide refurb.
