Stride Treglown have developed Bridle Works, a high-end student accommodation development in Glasgow. The twenty-storey, 422-roomed purpose-built tower aims to provide students with a home away from home, whilst offering some of the most unique facilities in the market.
Utilising a new hospitality concept, Bridle Works offers a variation of settings to meet the ranging needs of its tenants. Meeting rooms, study spaces, and a ‘grab-and-go’ breakfast bar in the reception area provide convenience for users throughout the week. Other spaces are solely geared towards recreation, including a ‘glam’ room for the fun of getting ready to dress up and go out, a ‘dual gaming’ room, a roof terrace equipped with barbeques, and a double-height ‘tea lounge’, complete with sunken table and panoramic views of the city.
The development’s design narrative takes inspiration from Glasgow’s artistic heritage. Communal spaces create moments of intimacy and drama amongst calm areas of reflection as soft pastels juxtapose vivid cobalt blues – inspired by oriental blue and white china.
