A history of Häfele UK

Häfele UK opened in Rugby in 1980 and has grown to become one of the Häfele Group’s largest and most successful international subsidiaries. In 1989, with 60 employees and a turnover over £12m, Häfele UK moved to its current premises at Brownsover Road within the Swift Valley Industrial Estate in Rugby. A year later, The Complete Häfele – Häfele’s dedicated guide to its range of over 25,000 products – launched in the UK.

Over the last three decades, Häfele UK has grown exponentially and opened six regional offices. Today, with an annual turnover of more than £100m, Häfele UK has a 400-strong team of employees, including more than 60 field-based sales experts and area sales managers, offering national coverage to its 23,000 active customers. Its two sites sit across 290,000 sq. ft., offering more than 20,000 pallet locations which ship, on average, 2,000 orders every day.

In 2023, Häfele will celebrate its 100th birthday, a landmark event which will involve activities and events across its global footprint, including at Häfele UK.

• Service+ Knowledge – Connecting customers with Häfele’s in-house experts who can support with specialist product and industry knowledge. Häfele helps customers maximise products and services to meet their needs and identify additional time and profit-enhancing opportunities to develop their business. The Service+ Knowledge team can also signpost customers to the Häfele Academy for workshops and training, aiding people and personal development.

• Service+ Planning – Providing free planning and specification advice during the design stage, to ensure customers are choosing the right products for the right application. Technical experts will create personalised recommendations for customers’ briefs, along with a ready-to-order parts lists, installation advice and instructions to help streamline the process.

• Service+ Customised – Offering a wide range of custom manufactured solutions including bespoke timber and assembled drawers, worktops, lighting, handles and cabinet components.
