The Stansons Studio crafts and delivers elegant, trend-setting products for workspace creators.
People, innovation and sustainability are at the heart of everything we design, make and install. Being truly focused on the fit-out industry means our complete approach through specification, pricing and installation revolves around the fast paced community we operate in. It’s an industry that demands creativity, value and speed, which are second nature to everyone at the company.
In 1976, John Stanley started a blinds company. Working out of his garage in Hampton, he had a van and sold window blinds, mainly to local schools. When it was time to retire, he handed the business on to two of his grandchildren.
Those two grandchildren were brothers, Sven and Rick. They decided to build up the venture – focusing on commercial projects, and cementing partnerships with manufacturers.
As a successful, growing window shading company, they bought out Blindfix, a fellow competitor – taking on their people, and their building. And so Stansons moved to its current home in Godstone. The company grew from 4 to 15 people overnight.
Splitting our time across large scale, longer projects with tier one contractors and shorter ones in the fit-out sector, we found that the processes were very different. One day we could be on site at a large new build school project, and the next we could be at Chanel’s HQ in Mayfair. What is acceptable for one project, is not on the other. It didn’t feel right. We wanted to add value to the design stage, to solve technical challenges and build long term relationships with clients. We are capable of meeting tight deadlines – from a same or next day sample service to completing a project within a 12-week timeframe. So, in 2018 we took the bold step to focus 100% on the fit-out market.
Scary? Yes. But we think this much better suits our personality. It reflects our ‘people come first’ ethos. We devise bespoke, creative and innovative zoning solutions using our technical expertise, creative and wellbeing knowledge.
Now our clients choose us because we faster, cleaner and better. We are ambitious. We are credible.
