Taking place from 28th to 31st March this year, CIFF Guangzhou is preparing to once more open its doors to an international audience. Debuting in an optimised layout 9% larger than the 2023 edition, the second phase of China International Furniture Fair – Office and Commercial Space – is the world’s largest exhibition of office and commercial space furniture, and one of Asia’s definitive platforms for introducing products, setting trends and fostering industry relationships between major global markets.
Under the theme ‘New Office Fashion, New Commercial Trend’, the exhibition encompasses three main sections: Office Environment, Office Seating and Public Commercial Space. With 1,100 exhibitors, 24 pavilions across the Canton Fair Complex and an exhibition area of over 240,000 square metres, this phase of the fair will also be complemented by CIFM/interzum Guangzhou, the woodworking, upholstery and interior décor fair dedicated to materials, components and machinery for the furniture industry.
The Office Environment section is set to offer comprehensive solutions for configuring working environments, including office systems, accessories and secure smart archives, as well as spotlighting avant-garde trends for the smart office. In collaboration with an array of brands such as Onmuse, Kano, Goodtone, UFOU, Cubespace, and Soundbox, considerable space will be reserved for celebrating innovation, research, development and trends in design. The ‘Linking Design Star Special Exhibition’ and International Brand Hall will also feature leading Chinese and international designers, together with 20 renowned design institutions, in forums aiming to bring manufacturers closer to current design issues.
The Office Seating section, which alone represents the world’s largest exhibition dedicated to seating, will spread over 80,000 square metres. Joining this will be the Public Commercial Space, showcasing the latest furniture solutions for school, hotel and public sector spaces like cultural, transport and sports venues. These large-scale exhibitions are all indicative of the country’s vast domestic furniture market (on a significant upswing since the pandemic), which is not only drawing thousands of international buyers to Guangzhou, but also demonstrating the growing importance of innovative technology and ergonomics for improving health and wellbeing in the workplace.
