Issued by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, Cradle to Cradle Certified is an internationally recognised independent standard for products that can demonstrate a positive impact on people and the planet. In order to become certified modulyss carpet tiles had to undergo an extensive assessment of environmental and social criteria across five categories: material health, material reutilisation, renewable energy and carbon management, water stewardship and social fairness. For material health modulyss achieved a Platinum score (the highest available) underlining the exceptional performance of its carpet tiles in the fields of environmental and human health. In all other categories the carpet tiles recorded Gold.
Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold carpet tiles from modulyss are made with 100% regenerated ECONYL® yarn and feature a new backing developed with circularity in mind. This PVC and bitumen free backing, ecoBack, consists of minimum 75% recycled content and can be disassembled and recycled at the end of the carpet tile’s life. In addition, all Cradle to Cradle Certified products are CO2 neutral thanks to the CO2RE initiative. This programme offsets any remaining greenhouse gas emissions from operations by supporting climate projects.
