With a rapidly expanding workforce and the desire to attract top talent in the industry, pioneering blockchain development company TriliTech has commissioned East-London based workspace design studio Trifle to design their first office in London’s Soho Square.

Opting for a well-connected, central location, ideal for their future workforce, visiting clients and wider members of the Tezos international network, the firm’s new 5,500 sq ft HQ is a converted house in Soho Square, once home to Red Bull Racing. TriliTech wanted their first home to reflect a contemporary and dynamic business with a variety of workplace settings to support their highly intensive, focused work, as well as more collaborative working styles.

Due to anticipated rapid expansion beyond its first office location, structural changes to the space were avoided at large. Still, Trifle worked with the existing layout, instead focusing on zoning the space across its multiple floors. The result is a high-end, high-performance environment – crucial for a company with the tech sector, where competition for the best talent is fierce.

Trifle’s human-centric design involved catering different levels to a particular workplace function. Colour design theory was vital to the studio’s design narrative when creating each area, allocating warming hues to the office’s social spaces to aid collaborative work, while leaning towards quieter, calming tones such as pinks and greens in zones fit for individual, focused work.

Despite its modest floor plan, the space feels comfortable, with a generous number of areas offering somewhere to socialise or unwind. Upon entrance, the ground floor welcomes guests into a multi-functional coworking and lounge space that can play host to important visitors.

Comfy Pacha lounge chairs are located near to desk heavy spaces to encourage a relaxing moment. On the third floor, the kitchen and terrace’s warm, sunny pallette complements whimsical furniture and styling choices from HAY and AfroArt.

Throughout the zones, there is an air of Scandinavian design aesthetic, but with a functional feel. The layout is strategic – from ‘café-style’ refreshment areas nearby fast-paced meeting areas or ‘drop-in’ places for those passing through, to private, acoustic paneling around focused work desks.

Open, co-working zones feature linear table systems, while meeting areas and outward facing spaces for collaborative work and visitors are welcoming, with rich colour and fun furniture. Biophilic design touches remain a constant throughout the space to maintain a restorative feel.

Bespoke elements like rugs from FLOOR_STORY, carefully selected artwork from TriliTech’s own NFT selection and vintage computational photography add a sense of quirkiness and fun to the space.
