K2 Space – DTRE, London

Mixology23 Project of the Year: Design & Build

Project Team

  • Normann Copenhagen, Tom Dixon, Havwoods, Interface Human Nature, Plyboo, Allermuir, Boss, Vtec, Spacestor, Brunner, Muuto, New Design Group, Cemento, Tektura, Synergy, Pedrali Furniture

DTRE required a larger office to house their expanding team and take their business to the next level. They saw the office move as an opportunity to create a dynamic and welcoming office space that their staff would want to return to, as well as a space that clients could touch down and grab a coffee. K2 Space met the brief with the delivery of a gym fully kitted with Peloton bikes, showers, a barista-style coffee bar with an adjacent client/staff touchdown area, a client entertainment area, a meeting zone with bleacher seating, and numerous meeting and collaboration areas. In keeping with their client’s interest in staff well-being there was extensive use of plants and other biophilia elements throughout the office.

With sustainability high on the agenda, both the K2 Space Team and DTRE were proud to achieve a BREEAM “VERY GOOD” accreditation – the highest achievable for this building.
