Johnson Tiles have been designing and making ceramic tiles since 1901, proudly staying true to their roots in the Potteries’ heartland of Stoke-on-Trent. To strengthen their portfolio of sustainable, British-made products, the Johnson Tiles design team searches the world sourcing complementary collections of porcelain and ceramic floor and wall tiles.

Our commitment to responsible manufacturing has seen us develop over 50 eco-friendly ranges, and we’ve dedicated over 2 decades to finding better ways to operate across every aspect of our business. From introducing energy saving initiatives, to reducing our carbon emissions and more, we’re consistently driving ourselves forward in our sustainability mission.

All of our British-made products contain up to 20% recycled materials, with our packaging solution 100% recycled and recyclable. We recently became the first tile company to go plastics-free. In just 10 months we removed all shrink-wrap, reducing our use of plastic from 100 tonnes to 0. Now, every pallet of Johnson Tiles’ products is wrapped in sustainable, plant-based wrap. Just as strong, just as durable.

In 2006 we opened Material Lab in London, providing a hub for new materials and inspiration. This dedicated design resource studio and materials library allows inspiration and creativity to go hand in hand. With surface coverings of every kind available to discover, the studio is invaluable to the architecture and design community.

With 120 years of British resourcefulness, today Johnson Tiles continues to invest in new equipment, eco-friendly products, markets, and services, with numerous major projects underway throughout the globe, including schools and education facilities, hotels, healthcare, housing, retail spaces and airports.
