Driven by a lease expiration, PEP relocated from an inefficient multiple floor townhouse to a consolidated 20,000-square-foot space in W1, catalysing a transformation in the company’s culture and social interactions in a post-pandemic landscape. This involved an analysis of shifting work patterns, adaptation to the preferences of the emerging generation, space optimisation, and redefinition of the office’s purpose. Central to Lorenc Design’s philosophy was a steadfast dedication to enhancing occupant well-being. Through the incorporation of biophilic elements and the cultivation of a warm, ‘home-away-from-home’ ambiance, the workspace was meticulously crafted to uplift employee morale, amplify productivity, and cultivate overall satisfaction.

Beyond its visual appeal and attainment of various certifications, the project wielded a profound, far-reaching positive influence on its inhabitants. The smooth transition from CAT-A to CAT-B, without requiring demolition, was enabled by close coordination with AECOM, the MEP consultants who also oversaw the CAT-A building fit-out. This collaborative approach not only maximised resource efficiency but also allowed for customised MEP solutions to be implemented whilst upholding sustainability principles. This project serves as a testament to the significance of collaborative efforts between clients and consultants. It earned the prestigious SKA Gold certification for its commitment to quality and sustainability.
