Interface
Interface, Inc. is a global flooring company specializing in carbon neutral carpet tile and resilient flooring, including luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and nora® rubber flooring. We help our customers create high-performance interior spaces that support well-being, productivity, and creativity, as well as the sustainability of the planet. Our mission, Climate Take Back™, invites you to join us as we commit to operating in a way that is restorative to the planet and creates a climate fit for life.
About Interface
Sustainability is an integral part of everything we do at Interface.
Our journey began back in 1994, when our founder, Ray Anderson, realised that the flooring industry, and his own business, were having a negative impact on the environment. He envisioned the potential to turn this negative into a positive, to prove you can be a successful business while manufacturing and selling sustainable products. This sparked the launch of Mission Zero® – a public commitment for Interface to have no negative impact by 2020. This approach inspired innovation across our whole business – from sourcing raw materials to manufacturing processes and exploring the management of products at end of life. This year we announced Mission Zero success ahead of our 2020 target, but even before this we were looking to the future and setting our next set of goals. In 2016 we launched Climate Take Back™ with the aim of running our business in a way that helps reverse the impact of global warming and inspiring other organisations to do the same.
We’ve achieved Mission Zero by transforming ourselves into a purpose-driven flooring company of sustainable designers, makers and storytellers. We’ve reduced the impacts of our business and our operations. We’ve transformed our supply chain and our products and we’ve implemented new business models. Many others from our industry and beyond have followed us, creating a powerful ripple effect that exceeds our original ambitions.
The progress and key milestones we have hit and the key operational change we are helping to drive across industry, prove that sustainability is more than just a buzz word to us.

There is a wealth of evidence to suggest that, by incorporating biophilic design into our built environments, we can increase our health and wellbeing. Oliver Heath, Director of Oliver Heath Designs, knows his stuff.
