Interface, Inc. is a global flooring company specializing in carbon neutral carpet tile and resilient flooring, including luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and nora® rubber flooring. We help our customers create high-performance interior spaces that support well-being, productivity, and creativity, as well as the sustainability of the planet. Our mission, Climate Take Back™, invites you to join us as we commit to operating in a way that is restorative to the planet and creates a climate fit for life.
Our journey began back in 1994, when our founder, Ray Anderson, realised that the flooring industry, and his own business, were having a negative impact on the environment. He envisioned the potential to turn this negative into a positive, to prove you can be a successful business while manufacturing and selling sustainable products. This sparked the launch of Mission Zero® – a public commitment for Interface to have no negative impact by 2020. This approach inspired innovation across our whole business – from sourcing raw materials to manufacturing processes and exploring the management of products at end of life.
In 2016 we launched our new mission Climate Take Back™ with the aim of running our business in a way that helps reverse the impact of global warming and inspiring other organisations to do the same. All our flooring products including carpet tile, LVT and nora® rubber are carbon neutral across their full lifecycle. In 2021, we launched our first cradle-to-gate carbon negative carpet tile in the UK, continuing a pioneering path and enabling specifiers to choose carbon negative flooring.
